Feels like this was in the works even before Shadows, no way in hell corpo speed would ever move that fast. Beckons the question though, what was the hope for shadows then? If not to save their IPs, maybe it was to get a better deal? A little worried all the same, Tencent is a downgrade by in large. I have not heard great things about Marathon. It’s like there’s a body snatcher piloting the corpse of the IP. Even using “Escape will make me God” as a slogan is harmful. It’d be like if Konami made a MG6, and made the slogan “engraving offer no tactical advantage” engraved on the box.

SkoomaDealer is it blasphemy to admit that mechanically it looks fun? I don't hate the extraction shooter or BR concepts but they seem to blend together well here. Seems skilled players have lots of tools after a big wipe to survive - which solves the main thing I don't like about extraction shooters

Dielan I don’t think anyone is wrong for being interested in the game. I do think it’s vastly unfinished for something that’s releasing in 5 months. I also think that it’s relying on its namesake to sell units. It’s going into a field that has cheaper or f2p models with more content than it’s planning to release with.

It’s also super sanitized. They’re cutting comms out to preemptively combat toxicity. The character designs are safe and bright like Concord. It’s kind of like Starfield compared to Fallout.
