more realistically, Rivals looks like a game people cared about while making it. Even the menus are really flashy, kind of like Persona, but in its own way. The servers seem kind of shit though, which is something launch day people will overlook for a couple weeks, but in a couple months will cripple a game.

Iromically the story trailers we got were littered with unfunny Marvel Humor.

The marvel chicks on the top look way better than the concord characters, and even look good in their own right. But there's nothing egregious or lewd about their outfits. It is a distinctly western design that somehow pleases everyone

Dielan It's already been studied. It's called aesthetics. Marvel as an entity has a long history of promoting aesthetically pleasing designs. Concord is an obvious attempt to subvert aesthetics and what you get is, broadly speaking, unappealing and unattractive. It is trying to be contrarian in its design and is very surprised pikachu face when it doesn't attract or appeal to an audience.

HelsEch I think the metapoint this twitter user is trying to make is that the new marvel game was made by a Chinese developer, which may have had an influence (or lack of influence) on how the characters look. Implying a western studio would have made them all ugly
