New World is straight dead. It’s now on life support as are any other titles Amazon owns. All development for MMOs has ceased. AGS was gutted and filleted. 180 officially from the studio is what I’m hearing.

Additionally, Amazon has hit Twitch for 500. Although everyone is clamoring for Danny Boy to get fucked, we know that’s not how CEO layoffs happen. We also know additional layoffs both at Amazon and the industry at large are looming. If this goes well, a lot of tech and other major businesses will likely replicate these firings.
